NMR data processing

The processing of NMR data is an essential part of NMR spectroscopy. It involves the use of the Fourier Transform to convert time domain data in the form of the free induction decay (FID) into a frequency domain spectrum for further analysis. Other step allow for the modification of the FID or processed data in order to maximise the signal and resolution of the collected data. Correct processing is essential to make best use of the data collected. The various basic steps are explained here.
