Relaxation Delay

The relaxation delay (also know as the interscan delay, d1) is the time allowed prior to the start of the pulse sequence. It is usually set to 1-5 times the T1 of the nuclei involved. The relaxation delay is often the largest contributing factor in the overall experiment time.
