Protein NMR Assignment

The sequence specific assignment of a protein is essential in order for more complex studies to be undertaken. The knowledge of which resonance signal corresponds to which nucleus in the protein allows the study the affect of ligand binding, the specific dynamics individual amino acids and also structural calculation to be undertaken. The standard methodology used for protein assignment using ¹⁵N, ¹³C-labelled protein is presented here.
